OBJECTIVES FOR THIS EXERCISE: After completing the exercise on
the male reproductive system, you should be able to:
- Identify the testis, epididymis, efferent ducts, and
vas deferens in light microscopic sections.
- Identify Sertoli cells, primary spermatocytes, and
spermatids in light microscopic sections, and explain the
relationship between the developing spermatozoon and the Sertoli
cell.
- Identify and describe the function of testicular
interstitial cells.
- Identify the prostate gland in light microscopic
sections.
