OBJECTIVES FOR THIS EXERCISE: After completing the exercise on the male reproductive system, you should be able to:

Identify the testis, epididymis, efferent ducts, and vas deferens in light microscopic sections.
Identify Sertoli cells, primary spermatocytes, and spermatids in light microscopic sections, and explain the relationship between the developing spermatozoon and the Sertoli cell.
Identify and describe the function of testicular interstitial cells.
Identify the prostate gland in light microscopic sections.
